Blessed!

Happy Tuesday!

Hi. The temperature has really been dropping here in Ohio. I had been turning on the fireplace in the evening to chase away the chill. But, the last couple days have been so nippy we finally had to start up the furnace. At least the sun has been shining and all the trees look gorgeous. It's such a beautiful time of year. So, continuing on with the Fall theme: Here is my card for this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge # 92.  I used two stamp sets on this card:  SunFlower Girl PI and Primitive Pumpkins.

Most of the DP is Harvest Lane by Simple Stories. I colored her with Copics and did some paper piecing for her dress and then I added her arms and flower on top.

For the pumpkins I stamped them with More Mustard(SU) and Really Rust(SU) Classic Ink on Very Vanilla CS (SU) and then added Kraft CS for the stem and Vintage Photo distress ink (Ranger) around the edges. And I little linen thread to top it off.

Here's the sketch:

If you need more My Favorite Things sketch details you can find them HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless.

I worked night shift and only slept for 3 hours today, so, I am a little sleep deprived. *yawn*
I made this card for the TCP Tuesday Challenge. This week it is a sketch.
I used the adorable A Girl and her Cake.
I love this little bunny, she is so cute and so much fun to color.
I colored her with Copic Markers and added Crystal lacquer and glitter to the frosting. Looks yummy! All the DP is Hootenanny by MME.

Snow Much Fun!

Happy Monday!
(Is that possible?)

This is my card for the My Favorite Things Guest Designer contest for October.
I used a new stamp that I haven't inked up before: Heart Warmer Boy (Pure Innocence Stamp).
He's just darling in his little snow suit and he has really sweet sentiments.

I used the Rounded Border Stax to make my shaker box. You can't see it in the photo but the back of the box has snowflake vellum from SU (very old from my stash). I put microbeads in to look like snow. My daughter says it looks like ice....
The sign is made with the Mini Pennant and Fishtail Banner Die-namics.
I was really happy with how cute this all turned out.

I colored him with Copic Markers and paper pieced his snow suit and hat.
You can check out all the fabulouslessness from My Favorite Things HERE

Happy Fall!

Happy Saturday!
It's a beautiful day here in Ohio. It's a little chilly outside but the sun is shining and the leaves are just starting to change colors. Don't you love this time of year? Apple Cider, Hay Rides, Pumpkins...
This is my favorite time of year.
I thought I would share my recipe for Hot Cider. It makes the whole house smell like fall.

Hot Spiced Cider
8 cups apple cider
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
6 inches cinnamon stick
1 tsp whole allspice
1 tsp whole cloves
8 thin orange slices (optional)

In a large saucepan combine apple cider and brown sugar.
For spice bag, place cinnamon, allspice and cloves in a double thickness of cheesecloth and tie with string. Add spice bag to cider mixture.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer at least 10 minutes.
Remove and discard spice bag.
Serve cider in mugs with orange slices, if desired.
Makes about 8 servings.
So, this week's card for My Favorite Thing's sketch is my first fall card this year.
I used ALM Sweetest Pumpkin in the Patch

Here is the MFT sketch I used:

Last Card Standing!

Hi, and Happy Thursday!
I made two more cards for the Taylored Expressions Last Card Standing competition. Have you checked out all the fabulous entries? WOW!~ There are some awesome cards entered.  You can check them out HERE.

For my first card I used one of Taylor's FREE digi images from the Last Card Standing post.
Isn't Cuppie cute?  My kids just love his little dog.

Paris is so magical, so for this card I added lots of bling. The Eiffel Tower was coated in glitter and I added Jolee's, All That Bling around my scalloped edge. I colored the image with Copic Markers and sponged the sky with Memento Summer Sky and Canteloupe. All the layers are sewing machine stitched. And the sentiment was also sponged with Memento Desert Sand and then a light layer of Charcoal Color Box Chalk around the edges. I used dimensionals to pop up the city scape to give it a little 3D effect.

For my second card, I used the very beautiful, Charlotte, from the Moka Collection. I love her!

She's colored with Copic Markers and then I added glitter to her veil and dress. All the layers are machine stitched. I used the MFT Sketch #90 for the layout.

Thanks for stopping by and Wish me LUCK!!

to the happy couple...

Happy Thankful Thursday!
I made this card for my cousin, Kaitlyn, whose wedding is this Saturday.
Her wedding colors are yellow and navy.
I used my first ever Taylored Expressions stamps. LOVE THEM! All the Moka stamps are darling! I will definately be getting a bunch more of them. For this card I used,
Charlotte and Jack from the Moka Collection.
Don't they make a cute couple?

I masked her so that he would be standing a little behind her. I didn't like it when I stamped them side by side. To mask I just stamped her once on Shimmery White CS (SU) and then again on a scrap piece of paper and cut her out to create my mask. I usually do this on a post-it BUT I didn't have any that were big enough (and the paper worked fine). I put my mask on top of my stamped image of Charlotte and then stamped Jack where I wanted him and then lifted the mask away. They are both colored with copics (don't look too close..I'm still figuring out this blending thing...*grin*).

I added some Martha Stewart crystal fine glitter to her dress, veil and shoes. It's so beautifully sparkley! Love!!
And Gelly Roll pen in sparkley silver to her flower ribbons and crown.
The sentiment is from Charlotte's set.

I used the Mini Rolled Rose and Fancy Flourish Die-namics from MFT.
I cut the flourish into several pieces and then tucked them under the roses. I was so excited by how these turned out with the music note DP.

I used the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch.
I hope you like my take.
Thanks so much for stopping by and God bless.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday! It's been a really busy week with my kids heading back to school. Our city built four new school buildings so we started about two weeks later than all our neighboring districts. My kids moaned and groaned about going back but they were so excited yesterday to tell me about all the fun they had and seeing all their friends. I know they were glad to be back!  And I have started my fall cleaning...how do we get so much stuff?

This is my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday sketch challenge #88.
I LOVE this sketch! Did I say that last time, too? *grin* I used the a la mode, Birthday Girl.
I just love a la mode's. They are just too cute!

She's colored with copics. The cupcake is paper pieced and colored with copics and then I added some crystal lacquer to make it look really chocolate-y.

Give it a shot!

Happy Labor Day! It's been quite a wierd day for me...I had to work night shift last night (my holiday to work) and during my AM med pass I started feeling sick and ended up in the ER with a migraine headache. I'm feeling much better now and need to get my card posted for this week's My Favorite Thing's Wednesday sketch challenge # 87. I loved this sketch. Lots of fun layers (which is definately my thing)! I used the adorable I Get A Kick Out of You, PI Stamp. She's colored with copics and her shirt is paper pieced.

The paper is Lime Twist Fly A Kite by MME. I love these bright papers.

Welcome Little One!

I'm so glad it's Friday! It's been a crazy week. We have a HS football game tonight (My daughter, Hannah plays flute in the marching band). GO GRIZZLIES! SO, I'm trying to get this posted real quick before we head out.

This is my second entry for My Favorite Thing's Guest Designer contest for September. I used the super adorable A La Mode: Oh, Baby.

I paper pieced the teddy bear to make him look 3D. I used a little watercolor pencil on his ears, cheek and bow and used a SU blending pen. She's colored with copic markers.

I used the MFT die-mamic's: Button Quartet, Mini Rolled Roses, and File Tab.

I added a little Rick Rack, some stiching and a little linen thread.

Happy Thoughts...

Hi. This is my card for the My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge! I love participating in this....and the prize is AWESOME! You can check out all the details HERE!

This month the challenge is a card sketch. I choose to make a tall, skinny card (4 x 9.25).

The actual sketch part is at the top and then I created a little scene at the bottom.
The PI is Happy Mail. I paper pieced her outfit and colored the rest with copic markers.
I used several die-namics: Fresh Cut Grass, Woodgrain Fence, File Tab and Sheltering Tree.

The August Bingo is by Simple Stories: Year o graphy Simple Basics. The green with dots is a scrap and the main DP is Farm Fresh: South Forty by October Afternoon.
The "Happy Thoughts" sentiment is from another PI, Aim High.

My two "rows" are natural hemp and 3/8" twill tape (SU). The twill is hiding behind the bingo card...only the bow shows (my trial with the skinny card). *GRIN*

I distressed the fence with a little peeled paint and vintage photo distress ink. I also used a little vintage photo on the grass to make it look a little more "Fall-ish." I lengthened the tree trunk a bit behind the fence (I wanted my tree a little taller). And then added some buttons for the leaves. And I couldn't leave out the cute bird from this set, so he is hanging out in the tree. And I machine stitched around the edges and added a few zigzags.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless.

Sending You Hugs

This is my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday sketch #86. This was an awesome sketch. I will definately be using this one again!

I stamped the cute little PI from, Aim High. I love her and use her often. She is colored with copic markers and her dress is paper pieced. All the DP is Lost & Found * Market Street by MME. The "Sending you hugs" sentiment is from the First Class Friend set also from MFT's.
I attached three little buttons with some linen thread (SU) and stitched around all the edges.
The border is the Open Scallop Edge die-namic.

I used MFT's Notched Tag die-namic and stamp set for my little tag and then added a mini rolled rose. And then I stamped the sentiment "miss u" at the bottom.*squeal* Love how this turned out!

I used a little Vintage Photo distress ink around some of the paper edges. The ribbon is a scrap of SU 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (not sure of the color because I didn't have the ribbon spool).

Her little heart banner is also from the Notched Tag die-namic set. I sponged regal rose (SU) ink around the edges and attached the hearts to some linen thread.

This is the inside. I stamped the image using regal rose (SU) ink and then added two little "hugs" from the First Class Friend set.

You can check out all the details on Kim's Blog.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless.
