Corner Bookmarks

Happy Sunday!
I have seen so many of these cute corner bookmarks that I made one for myself. Then, my girls liked it so much that they asked me to make one for each of them. Seth's bookmark is the robot.
So, here they are:

You can find the tutorial from splitcoast stampers HERE.
And these are the die-namics I used from MFT.

Missing You!

Happy Thursday!
I made this card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday sketch challenge.
I used the Pure Innocence stamp, Love you with all my heart.

The DP's are Big Sky Country Drive and Little Boy by Echo Park and the hounds tooth DP is by Creative Imaginations.

I paper pieced her dress with a scrap of Little Boy paper and she is colored with copics.
I used the fresh cut grass die-namic from MFT and a scrap of SU DP.

The sentiment is from Flurry of Love. It was stamped on the file tab die-namic. I machine stitched all the layers and added 1/4" white taffeta ribbon and clear buttons.

TCP Tuesday 173 ~Take Off

Happy Wednesday!
I love the colors for the TCP Tuesday Challenge.
Aren't they fabulous?? I made a trip to Toyrifix a couple days ago and bought me Take Off.
I love this little bunny! He is soooo adorable! And I have seen such cute cards made with this stamp.
So this is the card I made using these colors.

I colored him with copics and paper pieced the balloon. The panel he is attached to I used a cloud die-namic from MFT and memento desert sand ink to sponge around the top of the cloud. The map idea came from Leigh O'Brien. She's so talented! I folded the map into little pleats and then sewed it in place. My layout is this week's SC347.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless.....

Har Repotter

Happy Tuesday!
I made this card for FTR19
It also works for Jeanie's TKT and I used the SC346 for my layout.
I'm not a Harry Potter fan...I know shocker, right? But, my brother Phil is a huge Harry Potter fan and asked me to make him some cards. So, I used Har Repotter from Bugaboo Stamps. Isn't his name hilarious?

Repairo is Get Well according to my brother. The image is DIGI and colored with copics.
Here's how I followed the recipe:

  • Colors – jewel tones of pink, violet and blue, gold/yellow and brown
  • Stamps and Stickers – gears or clock works, wizards and magic, butterflies, text/script, sentiment
  • Color Mediums – stamping/distress ink, markers (ProMarker, Copics), and acrylic paint
  • Embellishments – ribbon, brads, tags, polymer clay, glitter/Stickles
  • Techniques – mix-media, collage, use and/or layer digital stamps, edge the card with paint

This is the inside. The sentiment was done with a computer font.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless....

Stamps: Har Repotter DIGI
Paper: Kraft, white, black, BoBunny Back to Basics DP
Accessories: copics, brads and mini brads, gel pens (white and clear star), oval nestie

My Friend!

Happy Friday!
Well, my kids survived the first two days of school.
And I got some crafting done while they were away...yeah!

I made this for the CPS231 sketch.
My Favorite Things is the sponsor this month. Yeah!

I inked up a new PI, Sunflower Girl. She is too adorable. Love her!
I colored her with copics and paper pieced the bottom of her dress.
I used a stamp from the Own Your Story die-namic and stamp set on Stella Rose DP from MME.
I stamped it using vintage photo distress ink that had been stamped off. I added a photo corner and a button.

For the left panel I used the open scallop edge die-namic and added a folded paper edge that I zigzag stitched in place.  The sentiment was borrowed from the 4 leaf clover PI. And the little heart is from the notched tag die-namic and stamp set. I used a little distress ink on my circle because the vanilla seemed too bright with the DP I used.

This is the inside. I used memento desert sand to stamp her on the inside and added another photo corner. This sketch was lots of fun!

Music Does the Soul Good!

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!
Well, today is the first day of school for my kids.
There was lots of excitement and a few tears.
My DH is taking me out to Bob Evans to celebrate as soon as we get our foster baby to visitation with her mom and grandma. Whoo hoo! Love going out to breakfast!!

My 13 year old daughter, Hannah, asked me last night at 9pm if I could make her a Thank You note for her band teacher. She was in our counties honor band this summer and they played at the Medina County Fair. Her band teacher came to hear her play (and Hannah was the only student from our district).
So, I used this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday sketch challenge for her thank you.
I had to tweek the sketch a little...I didn't want the ribbon hiding my PI.

I stamped My Little Firecracker (PI) but washed off the sparkler part so it looks like the band wand the teacher uses and drew in some music notes. I paper pieced her dress and the rest is colored with copics. I zigzag stitched this panel in place.

The sentiment was cut out with circle nesties. I took the sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Music but, typed it on the computer so it would fit in my circle. And then added a mini library clip.
The scallop was done in Riding Hood Red CS using the Simply Scallop medium die-namic. I use this one all the time because it works so well on my cards. The scalloped dottie ribbon is from SU.
I stitched all the layers and added some flower bitty buttons (SU) at the top.
The inside says "a note of appreciation" but, I forgot to take a pic of the inside. OOPS!
And it went to school with Hannah this morning.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless....

I made this card for the TCP Tuesday Challenge.
You can find out all the details HERE!
It's a really fun one.  I liked all the layers!

I used the extremely adorable Spring is Here (mine is DIGI).

The photo corner punch is from SU. The scalloped edge is Simply Scallop Medium from MFT.
I zigzag stitched it in place with green thread and added bitty buttons (also from SU) to each scallop.

The "Missing You" sentiment is from a Pure Innocence stamp Flurry of Love.
I wanted to send this to my brother Phil, who lives in Phoenix.

The DP is Simple Stories, Vicki B. by Bo Bunny, Little Boy by Echo Park and Pocket Fence by Lilybee Design. I used pink pirouette, chocolate chip, riding hood red, tangerine tango for the CS.
And stitched around the base layer. I hope you like it.

My Favorite Things Sketch #31

Happy Saturday!
I made this card for the My Favorite Things WednesdaySketch Challenge.

For my card today, I used Lilybee Design Picket Fence DP with Chocolate Chip and Wisteria Wonder CS from SU. The stamp from MFT is Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy.
I used the new Flourish Die-namic, it's Fabulous! I loved playing with it!

The bow was made using Lucky Limeade 3/8" ruffled ribbon from SU.
I paper pieced my circle and added some bitty buttons (which are my favorite thing).
All the panels were machine stitched, of course, *grin*
