Happy Thoughts Are Coming Your Way!

Happy Saturday!

Well, It has been another crazy week at our house. The air went out at our house during the hottest weather Ohio has seen in 15 years. And my Dad who would normally come over and fix it is vacationing in Texas at my brother's house. And I refuse to pay a heating and cooling guy $75 to do what costs 14 cents to fix. So, we are miserable! (especially at night)!!

And if that isn't enough...my dog took on a skunk two nights ago...at bedtime....and lost!
She got sprayed right in the mouth and then was foaming at the mouth and slinging it all over the patio!
This is the second time! You'd think she would learn to leave those smelly animals alone.
So, my hubby made a trip to Wal-mart at midnight to buy peroxide, baking soda and soft soap.
And I was scrubbing the dogs face while my teenage son was trying to locate the skunk with a flashlight.
Oh, what a night!

This is my card for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge. I made this card for my niece, Anna.
She lives in Texas and is turning 6.

I used my newest Pure Innocence, Aim High. Isn't she sweet? I love her!
Instead of the kite, I gave her a banner. Love how it turned out!

This is the inside. It's a little hard to see in this picture but, it has

  1. THis is a beautiful card, Rachel! Really love everything about it!
You made me laugh about the skunk :-D Growing up we had a big Newfoundland dog who would get sprayed all the time. That, and taking on porcupines, another dangerous occupation!LOL

    What a week you've had!

Its been scorching here in NC and today I felt positively sick with the heat, 100 degrees and about 85% humidity. But thankfully our air is working inside, but my ducks are not digging these temps....
