Well, we are all snuggled up and ready for the blizzard that's supposed to hit. We stocked up with food and rearranged schedules so that we won't have to be out driving. And, all this snow we've been getting sure does help with getting in the Spirit of Christmas. My hubby even went out and got our kids new winter boots so when they have a snow day Monday and maybe Tuesday they can go outside and play. While Mom is all warm and dry inside with a hot cup of tea and happy working on Christmas cards, calendars, and teacher gifts.
I decided to try this week's Catch the Bug Challenge. I used this cutie jingle bell snowman from Bugaboo Stamps. I printed him on white cs and colored him with my copics. I cut him out with circle nesties. Next, I used my versamark pad, su heat and stick powder and then topped it off with su dazzling diamonds glitter to make him look like he's a sparkling ornament. The ornament topper I traced and cut out of some shiny silver paper and used my 1/4" punch for the hole and my paper piercer for some texture. I hooked it on to my "tree" with su linen thread.
The DP I chose is my minds eye I believe. I like this paper for this project because the red stripes are sparkly, too. I stamped "tree" branches with su old olive csp using su peaceful wishes. I stitched around all the layers. Added some more sparkle to the bottom corners. The sentiment is a computer font and cut out with circle and scalloped circle nesties.
It's always so fun discovering how each person interprets these card challenges. I look forward to seeing what they come up with. As for me, I'm stuck in a rut....all my cards keep wanting to be a square. *giggle*
Thanks for stopping by.

Just Another Snowy Day....
Happy, happy Friday! Thanks Jeanie for picking me to be one of your krafty chicks. I feel very honored with how wonderful your cards are. Isn't my badge cute? *giggle*
I'm trying to get my brother's Christmas package mailed to Phoenix tomorrow. So, I made this card for him and it turned out so cute I had to post it.
This pair of adorable penquins are from Whiff of Joy. I stamped them on bazzill coconut CS colored them with my copic markers and cut them out with my circle nesties. I layered them on the scalloped circle, which was cut out of SU riding hood red cs. The DP is Snowball Fight from Fancy Pants Designs. I love this paper because it wasn't traditional colors. I layered it on SU peach parfait cs and sewed a small zig-zag stitch with my sewing machine. The base is done in SU marina mist cs. I used my die-namics small scallop on SU barely banana cs (retired color). The snowflake is from my cricut cartridge winter woodland. I layered on a button and the ribbon is marina mist SU 1/8 inch ribbon. The sentiment is from SU's A Cardinal Christmas.
Have a fabulous weekend! Thanks for stopping by....

Snow Day!
This is my creation for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. My teenage daughter was getting on
me because I was having too much fun when I was making this card. *giggle* Why are they the
only ones allowed to have fun? It has been snowing for days and looks beautiful outside but all the kids are home and harder to get things accomplished. So, my awesome hubby took 4 kids to the local playland and 2 are down for a nap. What is that I hear? Nothing! aaahhhh!
I love this new stamp from MFT. I stamped her on SU Very Vanilla paper and paper pieced her shirt and the clock with scrap paper the rest is colored with Copic Markers. Oh, and I added a little sparkle to her headband with Xmas red Stickles. The Circles are cut out using my nesties. Isn't this DP divine? It's tinsel & twig from the girls' paperie. I think the patterns and colors are fabulous! I embossed the top with my Argyle embossing folder. To finish I added ribbon and beads. The "Be Merry" I printed using a font on my computer. Thanks for stopping by.

That's Krafty Thursday #43
Hi. Happy Monday! I have been absolutely crazy...We took in 2 siblings on Thursday at 2am (God only knows what these poor kids think of us in our pj's). And their sister was found and brought to us Friday evening. So my house is currently on overload with 7 kids. So, it is a miracle that I got this done. *grin*
I stamped this cutie from Stamping Bella called Snowfight with Memento Tuxedo Black on white CS layered it on SU Basic Black and Melon Mambo and colored her with my Copic markers. I paper pieced her snow suit with some scrap leopard print DP. The fluff on her coat and leggings are done with liquid applique. Her snowman's scarf is paper pieced with bazzill textured pink paper but, I colored over it with my copic markers. I added a little sparkle on the snow and snowballs with diamond Stickles.
The DP is Snow Much Fun by Three Bugs in a Rug. I layered it on Basic Black and stitched it with my sewing machine. I used my polka dot embossing folder on blue CS and layered it on white using my sewing machine. And attached all that to Basic Black. I added 3 black brads to the top left and the sentiment is from SU's Cold Play. I had so much fun doing this TKT challenge.

That's Krafty Thursday Challenge
I'm so excited to get my blog site up and running. The Otter Spot is still under construction. I am waiting on several blog designers to get back to me, but I just couldn't resist participating in the That's Krafty Thursday challenge. Isn't Oscar adorable? He's a freebie from the Stamp Fairy. I love freebies!
For my card today, I used this little cutie Oscar and printed him on Bazzil CS and colored him with Copic markers. I paper pieced his scarf using October Afternoon Thrift Shop CS and his nose using Kraft CS. I sponged lightly using Memento Desert Sand around the edges.
I cut out and embossed him using my Circle Nestabilities. The patterned paper is Imaginisce Cottage Christmas and Basic Grey. It's layered using Baja Breeze, Bazzil white and Kraft CS. I used my sewing machine on the layers and added Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon.
I finished it off with a snowflake cut using my Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge using Kraft CS. I had to add sparkle. I used Diamond Stickles on the snowflake and Icicle Stickles on the snowball. The snowflake has a button laced with Linen Thread (SU).
I really enjoyed my first challenge. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!
